Fighting Hunger in the Bay Area

Before the pandemic, one in five people was at risk of hunger in San Francisco and Marin, now that the pandemic has upended thousands of people’s lives and livelihoods the need is even greater. As a result, there is a dramatic increase in food insecurity in our community. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is now serving twice as many households as pre-pandemic.

Global Office approached the SF-Marin Food Bank at the end of 2020, sharing our vision of developing partnerships with local nonprofits. In March and April, Global Office will match all contributions up to $500 made through their website.

Global Office COO Anthony Bishop comments, “In the past year, Covid has greatly magnified existing food insecurity and financial vulnerabilities in local communities. Partnering with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is part of our ongoing commitment to serve the communities we live and work in”.

Community Involvement

In response to the Covid-19 crisis, Global Office has supported frontline healthcare workers with donations of PPE and hot meals. With the recent decline in Covid related hospitalizations, we are shifting our focus to the economic impact of the pandemic.

Contribute

Your contributions will fight food insecurity in San Francisco & Marin County, providing meals for our neighbors in a dignified manner. During March & April, Global Office will match contributions up to $500 per donation.
